Much like my post on the white button down, sitting down to style the wrap dress was almost difficult, just because it’s inherently so easy. The wrap dress became popular because of its universally flattering shape (cinching at the waist, flaring to different degrees below the hips), and the ease with which you can look polished and put together. It’s a one piece outfit and isn’t that every working/lazy girls’ dream? Naturally I selected a Diane Von Furstenberg piece for this collage, but there are certainly more affordable options that look just as great by designers like Michael Kors or DKNY.
For a more casual ensemble I paired the wrap dress with a chunky pair of sandals, some hippie sunglasses, and the Chloe Faye bag, which I am O-B-S-E-S-S-E-D with. I would wear this with natural makeup and long messy bed head.
For the office I went with something simple and classic: black pumps (a more affordable option here), a bright colored satchel, and some big sunglasses. The bag is what really makes the whole look pop; you can find similar options here and here.
For the third look I usually try to give a dressy option, but since the wrap dress is already somewhat dressy I decided to winterize it instead. A cozy circle scarf with a basic tote, some over the knee boots, and cat eye sunglasses will help this dress transition from summer to winter.
What do you guys think? How do you style your wrap dress?
Have a great day!
