Apologies for not posting for a few days! I’ve been running around working on a collaboration that I’m going to announce in a week that I’m really excited about. Make sure to check back then to see what it is!
When I’m crazy busy like this, or when I don’t have an excuse to get a little sartorially creative, I tend to just go with my default outfit: denim and a flannel. It’s a tried and true combination for me, so I don’t waste any time getting ready in the mornings. I actually snapped these photos a few weeks ago, but I’m just getting around to posting them now. Originally I wasn’t sure I even wanted to use them because of the huge shadow covering most of the parking lot where I was shooting, but you live and you learn, right? Next time there won’t be a weird shadow, but having one is no excuse to waste a good outfit post.
When it comes to flannels, I usually opt for the men’s department (this one is J. Crew), which means they pair well with a balanced mix of masculine (see: the oversized Michael Kors watch) and feminine (see: vintage clutch, oversized earrings, skinny jeans, heeled booties).
My hair is almost always up when I’m trying to concentrate on work or busy running errands. I just like it to be out of the way. Here I used a foam donut contraption to make my bun extra large. In reality my hair is way too thin to be that big!
What do you guys think? What is your default outfit for busy days when you can’t think about getting dressed in the morning? Let me know in the comments!
